Bonnaroo, a Green Festival

Bonnaroo is a Music and Arts Festival which is annually held at a farm in Manchester, Tennessee. This year the festival will take place between June 11 th and 14 th.

Some artists that are going to be at Bonnaroo this year are: Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Conan O’Brien, Tenacious D. Weezer The Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon featuring Stardeath and White Dwarfs, Regina Spektor… and the list goes on and on.

The reason I’m talking about Bonnaroo in this green blog, besides their great music, is that they are green! Yeah, they have been taking care of the environment since they started, they try to take care of product consumption, education, waste management and energy consumption. This year they are going to have a Solar Stage in Planet Roo which is going to present an eclectic schedule of music, dance, environmental speakers and interactive entertainment.

They were also awarded this year’s Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award.

So you see, this guys are Living Green, Living Free!
