Whale hunting: bad signals from Chilean Government and ONGs

In a twist that gives a signal that represents a freeway to whale hunters and ending more than 20 years of moratorium status in the southern seas, Chilean government is promoting through Cristian Maquiera, the Chilean Commissioner and President of the International Whaling Commission (IWC) a negotiation prop in Morocco for the 62th IWC meeting, that starts this Monday.

A group of parliamentarians and ONGs are asking the government to clarify this situation.
