Longterm effects of the BP oil spill

A team of researchers from the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology from the University of Hawaii created a model that shows the longterm trajectory of the BP oil spill in the Atlantic Ocean.

The animation suggests that the coastal areas near both Carolinas, Georgia and Northern Florida could be affected by the oil spill as early as October 2010, and it is also likely that some particles would reach Europe
